Description
This is a beautiful washed lot, a blend of pacas and bourbon varietals. Sometimes we prefer to separate the varieties, other times they are both so good and complementary, that we blend them together to create a slightly larger micro lot. Here we find an elegant and plush espresso coffee with peach and strawberry jam notes.
SOURCING STORY
Elio Diaz is the owner of “Piedras Amarillas”, located in Santa Barbara, Honduras. Here he is growing both Bourbon and Pacas varieties. We’ve been purchasing his coffees as far back as 2015, with each year getting better and better. This came to a head in 2019 when he placed 3rd in Project Origins ‘Best of Honduras’ late harvest auction, with a lot of washed Pacas. We’re overjoyed to be able to work with such an exceptional producer. His coffees always remind us of all that we love about the Santa Barbara terroir. Explosive, complex and saturated with fruit flavors.
